Thassos (Thasos) is a stunning Greek island within the northern Aegean Sea , near the coastline of Thrace and the riverNestos, but geographically it is a section of Macedonia. It is the northernmost Greek island, and 12th largest by area.

It's a quite popular island and one that draws large numbers of visitors every year from round the world. With it's attractive beaches, and beautiful all-natural landscapes, it is the perfect destination for pleasurable and soothing vacations in the Aegean.

Along the coast one finds deep canyons with little, peaceful bays. Large parts of Thassos, which abounds in water, are covered with trees and shrubs. In Spring it is still peaceful and wild flower bloom almost everywhere. An ideal time to check out Thassos, walking from mountain villages to archeological sites to sandy beach locations.
